Alice Hye, Service Contracts Manager, AC Group, was named Tomorrow’s Leader at the prestigious 2018 IBM iX everywoman in Travel Awards last month. Celebrating the most exceptional talent in the travel industry, the award recognises a woman under 30 making a significant contribution to the sector.
Alice says: “I’m thrilled to be named as Tomorrow’s Leader by the IBM iX everywoman awards. I was truly honoured to be shortlisted next to two incredibly inspirational leaders, as well as having the opportunity to meet some amazingly talented professionals from throughout the travel industry at the event. No two days are ever the same in tourism, it’s such a fabulous industry to work in – and there’s a great camaraderie.”
“I’ve been fortunate to have had so many opportunities to succeed and develop my profession, and I look forward to continue to learn from my mentors. Hopefully I can share my enthusiasm and passion for customer service with people looking to work in travel and inspire others to strive for their goals.” continues Hye.
Angela Heaton, Managing Director of AC Group, said, “We’re so proud of the contribution Alice has made to the business and now the wider industry. This award is the perfect recognition of her talent and focus. Alice’s outstanding leadership, results and enthusiasm for travel are just some of the many reasons she is a worthy winner.”
Announcing her as the winner, organisers praised Hye for her ability to get results, growing the company’s Service Contract portfolio by 42% in her first year as Services Contracts Manager at AC Group and her encouragement of female colleagues to find their passion in the workplace.
The awards celebrate role models whose success stories will encourage the next generation of travel stars. The winners of all nine categories were announced at the ceremony in the East Wintergarden in Canary Wharf.
