England’s Great West Way picked up a prestigious award for the ‘Development of Incoming Group Visitors to the UK’ at the recent 2019 Group Travel Awards.
Organised by Landor Travel Publications and hosted this year by Michaela Strachan, the Group Travel Award winners are decided by readers of GTO magazine and an editorial panel. The annual awards have become one of the most prestigious events for the group travel market and reflect a highly valued endorsement from customers in the sector.
David Andrews, Director at Great West Way said, “We are delighted to have received this prestigious award. It is a fantastic reward for all the hard work our team, Great West Way Ambassadors, partner destinations and international travel trade have put into creating one of the world’s premier touring routes between London and Bristol.”
The Great West Way is targeted at visitors from Germany, the Netherlands, USA and Canada as well as domestic tour operators, wholesalers and DMCs. There are currently 55 Great West Way Official Tour Operators selling or developing new Great West Way programmes, and 225 industry and destination ambassadors.
A number of bookable programmes, an extensive travel trade directory and travel trade toolkit is available at GreatWestWay.co.uk/TravelTrade.
