This August, Bicester Village and The Gentleman’s Journal co-hosted the Big Summer Weekend – taking guests on a journey into the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside.
Attendees included a mixture of creatives, musicians, actors, socialites and TV personalities. Guests such Poldark’s Tom York and Eleanor Tomlinson, Emmy nominated actress Maisie Williams, Downton Abbey’s Tuppence Middleton, athlete Laura Robson, Love Island narrator Iain Stirling, singer Sam Way, entrepreneur Oliver Proudlock, and many more enjoyed the VIP treatment at Bicester Village and Blenheim Palace, before ending the day at Wilderness Festival.
To kick off the weekend celebrations, guests enjoyed an indulgent shopping experience and bespoke hair and beauty treatments by Tom Ford Beaty and HK London in Bicester Village’s dedicated VIP space The Apartment, before being chauffeured to Blenheim Palace for an indulgent lunch in the sun.
Set against the backdrop of Blenheim Palace, guests enjoyed a summer banquet in the formal Italian gardens. With an unrivalled view of the palace, guests enjoyed Verve Cliquot Brut and Rose Champagne, and AIX Rose wine, which accompanied dishes such as butterflied leg of lamb, chicken and chorizo skewers with lemon salsa, and a variety of sumptuous salads followed by a dessert table served in the Orangery.
Finishing off the day, guests headed to Wilderness Festival for a spectacular weekend with some of the biggest names in music and culture, including Bombay Bicycle Club, Robyn, and Groove Armada.
