To celebrate St David’s Day 2021 this weekend (27 February – 1 March), walesdotcom will be running Visit Wales‘ biggest digital festival across social media channels, working with partners and the digital diaspora to amplify Wales to the world. Showcasing Wales at its best and bringing the words of St David to life – ‘do the little things in life’ by showing the good things (little and big) that Visit Wales is currently doing.
An overview of the associated campaign and activities can be viewed here. Most of Visit Wales’ activities will be focused on France, Germany, USA, Japan, Wales, UK and Ireland markets. There is also language content in Arabic and Chinese, targeted content in Spain and Italy and other activity in India, Canada, UAE and Qatar.
The curated 72-hour event will include an eclectic mix of content, stories and live performances, including Bryn Williams and Cerys Matthews, showcasing the good things Wales are doing as a nation for each other, for the communities, for the land, and for their world. It will bring together many events planned under one banner. The aim is to inspire everyone and their clients and customers to get involved.
Leading up to the weekend, anyone can become an official content sharing partner. Visit Wales are planning to create the biggest ever showcase of Wales, broadcast on walesdotcom and other social media channels including Visit Wales Trade. In order to do so, Visit Wales welcomes any partners who wants to become one of their many live content sharers by using social media to inspire others around the world.
