Tottenham Hotspur has introduced new multilingual Stadium Tours as part of its ongoing commitment towards making all facilities and visitor attractions fully inclusive.
The self-guided Stadium Tour experience takes the visitors behind the scenes of the stadium, giving exclusive access to the dressing rooms, pitch side and unseen areas of the Club’s home in London N17.
Ten new languages will now be available on the audio-visual devices, with dedicated zones at various points along the tour route helping users discover available content, including the transformation of the stadium from football to NFL mode, as well as interactive games and quizzes for children.
The new offering allows visitors whose first language is not English an enhanced, easy to understand interactive experience. The ten languages now available on the audio visual devices are Mandarin, Japanese, Italian, German, Indonesian, Thai, French, Korean, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. The multilingual Stadium Tours form part of the Club’s wider work to deliver fully inclusive experiences and facilities.
The stadium is fully compliant with the Accessible Stadia Guide and exceeds standards in many areas. In addition to the dedicated accessible entrances, the stadium has accessible seating and wheelchair spaces in all stands. It also includes three changing places facilities for fans with more complex needs, which have more space and equipment than standard, accessible toilets.
On match days, the Sensory Suite, located in the stadium’s North Stand, offers a comfortable and calming environment for supporters on the autistic spectrum or with sensory impairment conditions, to watch matches. The room is complete with a tactile wall, a bubble tube and several other pieces of sensory equipment.
The Club is committed to developing more inclusive experiences across its Stadium Visitor Attractions, including the introduction of British Sign Language Stadium Tours and wheelchair accessible climbs on The Dare Skywalk.
