Theatre Workout has been awarded Best Education Provider at the British Youth Travel Awards 2023, recognising excellence in Theatre Workout’s educational product and the experiences it offers to schools, along with the theatre and travel sectors.
The award was given in recognition of Theatre Workout’s long-standing commitment to theatre and drama education, and it’s workshop programmes which maximise school theatre experiences and enhance the creative curriculum of schools across the UK.
Adam Milford, Founder and Director of Theatre Workout said, “We are delighted and honoured to receive this award. I thank the judges, but also our amazing team of dedicated practitioners who bring their exceptional experience and expertise to every workshop. They go above and beyond to give every student an amazing theatre experience!
“Drama and theatre are powerful things, and sadly not enough children and young people get to experience them at school due primarily to funding cuts and a lack of specialist teachers. Many of the schools we work with do not teach Drama at school, but recognise the value of it, so we are proud to give young people that same positive, potentially life-changing experience we have all had at some point. Its why we do what we do, and we hope that this award will create new opportunities for us to make our programmes even more accessible to more schools.”
