World of Wedgwood has announced that they are now open to the public seven days a week, from 10am to 5pm. Nestled in the rural village of Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent, the award-winning visitor destination invites guests to discover, experience and create every day of the week.
Their decision to expand the multi-experience site to seven days comes in response to a demand from visitors, international and local, along with enthusiasts and corporate businesses, as well as a commitment to providing an enhanced experience for guests.
To celebrate this new chapter, the Creative Studios have launched a new offering: Clay Community. Clay Community offers passionate beginners and intermediate throwers a workspace to practice independently on the potter’s wheel whilst enjoying the company of fellow clay enthusiasts.
The expansion to a seven-day opening is the final stage of the pandemic recovery and has resulted in the creation of new jobs and allowed more opportunities for existing staff members.

World of Wedgwood in Barlaston is home to the 1940s working Wedgwood factory, which continues to produce Wedgwood’s mad-in-England ceramics. Guests can experience their story through an immersive behind-the-scenes tour of the Wedgwood factory (Monday to Friday) and explore the galleries of the V&A Wedgwood Collection (Monday to Sunday), the museum of Wedgwood’s design history and creative future.
Now open Monday to Sunday, guests can make a day of their trip by visiting the award-winning Wedgwood Tea Room, offering breakfast, lunch, or Wedgwood Afternoon Tea, whilst enjoying the luxurious Wedgwood fine china and ambient surroundings. Josiah & Co, their shop supporting local businesses, is also open Monday to Sunday 10am-5pm, and the store displays a selection of local makers, offering hot drinks and sweet treats in a more relaxed setting.
