Destination Manager – Hotels (Ireland), G2 Travel

G2 Travel are currently seeking a Destination Manager – Hotels (Ireland).

Key responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and contract a portfolio of hotels with exclusive group rates, allocation, conditions, and inventory.
  • Constant monitoring of competitiveness for negotiated contracts.
  • Meet company’s deadlines and KPI’s.
  • Be the company’s leading hotel expert of your assigned region having in-depth knowledge and understanding of your market and destination.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners.
  • Develop and ensure good relations with peers – colleagues, sales reps and management, provide feedback and support when needed.
  • Monitor usage of contracted allocations.
  • Ensure fair/event files are kept up to date.
  • Represent G2 at trade shows and other events as and when required.
  • Work closely with counterparts in hotel reservations and assist in placing volume business (series), fam trips and VIP groups.
  • Give regular feedback on progress and performance of your region to Regional Manager through meetings, emails, or monthly reports.

Key skills & experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in hotel contracting or a similar role, must have performed hotel contracting for group/wholesale business.
  • Proven track record of negotiating competitive hotel contracts.
  • Strong understanding of the hospitality industry, including trends, dynamics, and pricing models.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with hotel managers and other industry professionals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs.
