Strand Palace has introduced a Theatre Afternoon tea experience in recognition of Afternoon Tea Week. The offering features an array of savoury sandwiches, cakes, and cocktails inspired by iconic plays such as Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Moulin Rouge.
The menu, designed to reflect the traditional British afternoon tea, incorporates theatre-themed elements. Act I includes the Stagehands’ Sausage Roll, Hamlet’s Harissa, and The Green Room, accompanied by Showstopper Scones and unlimited tea. Act II presents a selection of sweet treats, including the Tutu Tartlet with white chocolate ganache, Curtain Call red velvet mascarpone mousseline, and Baritone’s Delight dark chocolate delice with espresso cream.
The Theatre Afternoon Tea is available daily from 12pm to 5pm at Haxells within Strand Palace. It is priced at £49 per person on weekdays and £55 per person on weekends. Vegan and children’s menus are also offered. In addition, a new Snow Palace Afternoon Tea featuring a live ballerina on weekends will debut this Christmas.
Guests who dine at Strand Palace from 12 to 18 August will receive a gift card offering 50% off their next visit. The gift card must be redeemed by 3 November 2024.
