Waddesdon Manor’s annual Chilli Fest will return from 30 August to 1 September 2024. The festival will feature a diverse range of chilli-related products from various exhibitors.

This year’s festival will highlight local artisanal producers from Buckinghamshire and independent traders across the UK. Visitors can sample various chilli products and interact with spice enthusiasts.

The weekend programme includes live music performances, with acts like The Stray Horns on Friday, Tuba Libres on Saturday, and Beatto Burrito on Sunday. Additionally, local singer-songwriters Andy Robbins and Lewis Branch will perform, and the acoustic duo Stereotypes and the trio Haze Band will take the stage on Sunday.

Levi Roots, renowned for his Reggae Reggae Sauce and appearances on Dragon’s Den, will also be featured, performing a DJ set on Saturday evening.

Families will find activities for children, including a special appearance by Bluey, the popular character from BBC’s CBeebies. Bluey will be involved in storytime sessions on Friday.

One of the event’s highlights is the Chilli Eating Competition, organised in partnership with the Clifton Chilli Club. Participants will be challenged to eat increasingly hot chillies, with the aim of becoming the Waddesdon Chill Champion. The competition is open to those willing to test their spice tolerance.

The Food Market will offer various products, including drinks, baked goods, condiments, and other specialty items. Visitors can also taste and judge sauces, oils, and pickles in the Taste Tent, and the winners will be announced on Sunday.

The festival will run from 10am to 6pm daily, with extended hours on Saturday 31 August until 7pm. Ticket prices are £19.50 for adults and £10.50 for children, with discounted rates for National Trust and Art Fund Members.
