Van Gogh exhibtion opens at The National Gallery

The National Gallery has announced the opening of bookings for a limited-time, exclusive experience: Van Gogh: Poets and Lovers. This once-in-a-century exhibition offers a rare opportunity to view Vincent van Gogh’s most beloved, and some rarely seen, masterpieces in a private and intimate setting.

Van Gogh: Poets and Lovers brings together works from around the world, highlighting Van Gogh’s transformation during his time in southern France. This exhibition explores his connections with poets, writers, and fellow artists. Van Gogh combines poetic colour with romantic imagination to create landscapes that resonate with timeless beauty.

Guests will walk through Van Gogh’s world under a starry night, admire his famous swirling clouds and cypress trees, and visit his ‘Poet’s Garden’ and Saint-Rémy – sites that inspired his artistic vision. The exhibition includes some of Van Gogh’s most celebrated works alongside drawings showcasing the breadth of his genius.

The exhibition offers a one-hour guided tour led by a gallery-approved Blue Badge Guide. Tours are available until 14 January 2025, subject to availability, with sessions scheduled from 9am – 10am or 6pm – 8pm. Groups can range from a minimum of one to a maximum of 25 guests per tour. For bookings and further information, please email the Travel Trade team or call 0207 747 5926.
