New interactive electric bus parks up at London Transport Museum

London Transport Museum has introduced a new interactive display focused on the Wrightbus Electroliner, a zero-emission electric double-deck bus currently operating on London’s bus routes.

The display, provided by Transport UK London Bus (TUKLB), showcases the vehicle’s front section and includes a driver cab and passenger area designed to give visitors an immersive understanding of eco-friendly travel in the city. This display highlights the advancements in public transport technology and the growing role of electric vehicles in reducing emissions.

The Wrightbus Electroliner, manufactured in Britain, has a range of up to 200 miles and supports rapid charging, making it a significant step in modern, sustainable transport. It is part of a broader push by TUKLB, which operates over 60 routes on behalf of Transport for London (TfL). Since 2023, over 100 of these electric buses have been deployed on London routes. These buses aim to improve air quality and reduce carbon emissions, aligning with the Mayor of London’s vision for a zero-emission city.

By featuring the Wrightbus Electroliner, the museum provides insight into the technological evolution of public transport and its role in supporting environmental sustainability.
