Battersea Power Station has celebrated its strongest Christmas season, with festive sales rising by 13.4% in November and December 2024 compared to the same period in 2023. Footfall also increased significantly, up by 11% year-on-year.
Fashion sales performed particularly well in the lead-up to Christmas, growing 11.7% on a like-for-like basis during November and December. Jewellery and accessories sales increased 13.3%, whilst beauty transactions rose 11.2% compared to the same period in 2023. In 2024, the riverside neighbourhood hosted over 25 large-scale events and over 100 brand activations, offering visitors a vibrant experience.
Highlights included the inaugural celebrASIA festival celebrating Southeast Asian heritage and culture, Aperol’s Aperidisco, and Arcade Food Hall’s takeover of The Coaling Jetty. With a robust events programme and a diverse mix of over 150 shops, bars, restaurants, and leisure venues, Battersea Power Station has established itself as one of London’s must-visit destinations, welcoming more than 26 million visitors since the Grade II* listed Power Station and Electric Boulevard opened in October 2022.
Looking ahead, 2025 promises to be another exciting year for Battersea Power Station, with the arrival of several British and international brands. New openings will include children’s clothing brands Lindex, On Running, R.W. Wolf barbers, Diptyque, Heartcore Pilates, Watch House coffee shop, Salomon, The Salad Project, and Bizzy Me children’s activity centre. Additionally, NEON at Battersea Power Station, Central London’s first-ever purpose-built entertainment and cultural exhibition space, will open in Spring 2025.
