Strand Palace Hotel have launched a brand-new MAMMA MIA! Afternoon Tea experience, bringing the magic of the musical to life with a playful and delicious twist. The afternoon menu features a selection of sweet and savoury treats inspired by well-known characters and songs, creating a lighthearted and enjoyable dining experience.
The MAMMA MIA! afternoon tea menu features a range of creative dishes, including Tanya’s Chiquitita Wrap with tikka marinated chicken, and the Voulez-Vent, a vol-au-vent filled with poached salmon. The cucumber and tzatziki finger sandwiches are a classic favourite that offers a refreshing, Greek-inspired touch.
The afternoon tea menu features a selection of sweet treats, including a coconut macaroon filled with citrus curd, a lemon drizzle gateau topped with candy floss, and a dark chocolate cake with hazelnut praline. Traditional fruit scones are served with clotted cream and raspberry jam alongside champagne, prosecco, cocktails, and mocktails.
Served daily in a tea parlour decorated with artwork inspired by Greek island scenery, the afternoon tea is available until November 2025 for £43 per person, with a children’s menu priced at £25. The venue also hosts private events, such as birthdays and celebrations, with packages that include free-flowing bubbles starting at £70 per person.
MAMMA MIA! plays at the Novello Theatre, just three minutes from Strand Palace. Now in its 26th year in the West End, the musical tells the story of a mother, daughter, and three possible fathers on a Greek island, set to the music of ABBA. Having been performed in 50 productions across 450 cities worldwide, the show has been seen by over 70 million people. Its well-known songs continue entertaining audiences, including Dancing Queen, Take a Chance on Me, and The Winner Takes It All.
