Mountain Goat Tours has partnered with Muncaster Castle for the 2025 season to offer visitors a new way to experience the Western Lake District. This collaboration will provide opportunities to explore the historic castle and its surroundings while learning about the area’s heritage and natural beauty.
The new tour offers a convenient way to explore the Lake District, particularly for those without a car or who prefer to avoid driving the steep Wrynose and Hardknott Pass. It includes a visit to Muncaster Castle, where guests can tour the historic building, have lunch in the restored dairy, watch the Bird of Prey Show, and explore the castle’s extensive grounds.
Robin Tyson, Managing Director of Mountain Goat Tours said, “This promises to be a new and exciting tour for us. We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Muncaster and connecting the central lakes with the stunning western lakes. Muncaster is a real historic gem for us in Cumbria, so we’re proud to showcase it.”
The partnership between Mountain Goat and Muncaster Castle aims to improve access to the Western Lakes. Whether visiting for the first time or returning to the area, the tour offers a convenient way to explore this scenic region without the hassle of driving.
