We are delighted to invite buyer members to our 2025 Discover Workshop in Inverness, in partnership with Visit Inverness Loch Ness.

Uncover the magic beyond the legend of the Loch Ness Monster and dive into a destination that offers so much more. Experience a unique blend of breath-taking scenery and urban excitement, catering to every type of traveller. Be captivated by Inverness’ rich history, beautiful waters, local cuisine, and warm Highland hospitality. Transform dreams of visiting Inverness and Loch Ness into reality and join an adventure you will never forget.

Upon arrival on 23 March, buyers will take part in a two-day familiarisation visit in Inverness to experience some of the destination’s travel trade friendly experiences and stunning scenery.

A B2B workshop will take place on 25 March between UKinbound buyers and Inverness suppliers, offering a unique networking opportunity and a chance to take part in a series of pre-scheduled, one-to-one meetings.

PROGRAMME:*

Sunday 23 March

  • 14:29 – Pick-up from train station by Grant Driving Tours → Travel to Kingsmills Hotel for check-in.
  • 15:10 – Arrival at airport → Pick-up by Rabbies Tours → Travel to Kingsmills Hotel for check-in.
  • 16:30 – 17:00 – Tea, coffee, and welcome session by Visit Inverness Loch Ness in the Kingsmills Hotel lobby → Show-around by Joyce Arbuckle → Networking.
  • 18:15 – Evening drinks reception at Kingsmills Hotel.
  • 19:00 – Transport to Glen Mhor Hotel.
  • 19:15 – Arrival at Glen Mhor → Tour of Uile Bheist distillery → Buffet dinner.
  • 21:15 – Transport back to Kingsmills Hotel for the evening.

Monday 24 March

  • 08:00 – Breakfast at Kingsmills Hotel.
  • 09:15 – Transport to Jacobite Loch Ness Cruises.
  • 10:00 – 11:30 – Cruise from Dochgarroch → Dropped off at Urquhart Castle.
  • 11:30 – Pick-up from Urquhart Castle → Transport to Old Manse.
  • 12:00Old Manse open house → Teas, coffees, and show-around.
  • 12:40 – Travel to Loch Ness Country House Hotel.
  • 12:50 – Lunch and hotel tour at Loch Ness Country House Hotel → Drinks sponsored by Loch Ness Centre → Presentation by Loch Ness Centre.
  • 14:10 – Transport to Inverness Castle.
  • 14:25 – Hard Hat Tour of Inverness Castle → PPE (hat and high-vis jacket) provided on-site → Sturdy shoes required (walking boots or hiking boots mandatory).
  • 15:30 – Travel to Achnagairn Castle.
  • 16:00 – Arrival and check-in at Achnagairn Castle → Welcome drink (sponsored by Palace Hotel).
  • 16:15 – 17:45Highlands with a Twist:
    • Axe throwing by In Your Element (2 groups) → Group rotation with castle and Mini Manors tour.
  • 17:45 – Room show-around → Time to get changed.
  • 19:00 – Pre-dinner cocktails by Tomatin → Part 1 of fashion show by Prickly Thistle in Drawing Room.
  • 19:30 – Pre-dinner entertainment by Downright Gabbler.
  • Between main and dessert: Part 2 of fashion show.
  • 21:30Highland Dancing by Highland Dance Inverness.
  • 22:00 – Whisky nightcap by Tomatin.

Tuesday 25 March

  • 7:00 – Breakfast at Achnagairn Castle → Suitcases remain on the coach for the day.
  • 07:45 – Depart Achnagairn Castle → Travel to Drumossie Hotel.
  • 08:20 – Arrival at Drumossie Hotel → Registration with teas and coffees in Drumossie Suite.
  • 08:40 – 09:10 – Welcome addresses and presentations:
    • UKinbound: Cindy Ng, Head of Marketing and Communications.
    • Visit Inverness & Loch Ness: Emma Harrison, Destination Development Manager.
    • Visit Scotland: Cassie McEwan, Assistant Business Development Manager.
  • 09:10 – 12:04B2B Event at Drumossie Suite.
  • 12:20 – Depart Drumossie Hotel → Travel to Cawdor Castle.
  • 12:45 – Arrival at Cawdor Castle.
  • 12:50 – Buffet lunch and castle tour.
  • 14:00 – Transfer for members traveling to Inverness Train Station.
  • 14:15 – Depart for Inverness Airport (arrival at 14:30) and transfer to Inverness Train Station.

Please note this event is open to BUYER MEMBERS ONLY. Places are very limited, and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Places are restricted to ONE representative per buyer member company.

Bookings will close on Wednesday 8 January 2025.

Any cancellations must be received in writing on or before Wednesday 8 January 2025 by 16:00. In the case of non-attendance on the day or cancellation after the above date, a £50+VAT charge will be applied to cover costs incurred. No refunds are available after the above date but a substitute attendee from your organisation would be accepted.
