The iconic Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage site, showcases unique basalt columns formed by ancient volcanic activity. Belfast, the capital, offers a dynamic urban experience with attractions like Titanic Belfast and the historic Crumlin Road Gaol. The Causeway Coastal Route, renowned for its dramatic cliffs and serene beaches, provides a picturesque drive through charming villages and past the medieval Dunluce Castle and onto the Walled City of Derry.

Outdoor enthusiasts will relish the Mourne Mountains’ hiking trails and the tranquil beauty of Lough Erne’s waterways. Northern Ireland’s vibrant arts scene, lively pubs, and warm hospitality enhance the allure, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking both adventure and cultural enrichment. With its mix of natural wonders and historical treasures, Northern Ireland promises an unforgettable travel experience.

Upon arrival on 23 February, buyers will take part in a two-day familiarisation visit in Northern Ireland to experience some of the destination’s travel trade friendly experiences and stunning scenery.

A B2B workshop will take place on 25 February between UKinbound buyers and Northern Ireland suppliers, offering a unique networking opportunity and a chance to take part in a series of pre-scheduled, one-to-one meetings.

We look forward to welcoming you to Northern Ireland and showcasing their giant experiences – of culture, landscapes, our legends, cities, coast and food.

PROGRAMME:*

23 February

Your journey begins in Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland, a city filled vibrant streets, historic landmarks, and rich cultural heritage. The group will enjoy getting to know the city with a walking food tour of Belfast. Starting in the historic St George’s Market, meeting local artisan producers, and tasting delicious local products, before heading around Belfast to visit traditional bars, world-class shops and more, eating and drinking some of the best local food and drink. Later in the day, the group will explore the city’s rich blend of history and culture through the unique set of experiences and activities on offer and a visit to some of it’s most iconic attractions. By evening, enjoy the craic and the culture with dinner in Belfast’s vibrant Cathedral Quarter.

24 February

The journey begins with a drive north along the scenic Causeway Coast. The first landmark is Carrickfergus Castle, a well-preserved Norman fortress overlooking Belfast Lough. Built in 1177, the castle is steeped in history, serving as an important stronghold for over 800 years. Continuing along the coast, the road meanders through charming seaside villages until you reach Glenarm Castle. The ancestral home of the McDonnell family, Earls of Antrim, Glenarm Castle is one of Northern Ireland’s most historic family houses with over 500 years of history and heritage.

Continuing the journey, the road hugs the rugged coastline, through picturesque villages and towns such as Cushendun, Cushendall and Ballycastle. It leads to the famous Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The group can marvel at the unique basalt columns formed by ancient volcanic activity, steeped in local legend about giant Finn McCool. After exploring the Causeway, our route will pass the iconic Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and also the stunning ruins of Dunluce Castle, perched dramatically on a cliff edge. As the fam trip concludes, the group will return to Belfast where they will stay overnight and enjoy a welcome networking dinner in the city’s Titanic Quarter.

25 February

UKinbound will run a half-day workshop offering pre-scheduled B2B meetings, and a networking lunch which will provide the opportunity to develop business relationships with Northern Ireland based suppliers.

Delegates will depart after the networking lunch.
