Best of Scotland Holidays has appointed Kirsten Laing as the new Sales and Marketing Director.
Growing up around the family business, Kirsten’s interest in the industry was piqued, which led to her gaining her degree in Tourism Management from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. After graduating, Kirsten worked with the International Trade Department at Scottish Enterprise, supporting Scottish SME’s exporting for over five years. She found herself regularly travelling to North and South America, Brazil in particular, and working with a range of Scottish industries including energy and whisky.
After a 20-year break, but with her roots firmly in the travel industry, Kirsten decided to return to the family business. Celebrating 40 years as one of Britain’s longest established destination management companies, her return in the Sales and Marketing capacity sees Best of Scotland Holidays looking ahead to many more anniversaries.
Kirsten Laing said, “Having the opportunity to return to our family business is a great privilege. I am thoroughly looking forward to reconnecting with industry colleagues, getting to know our clients with whom I haven’t yet worked and welcoming future clients to benefit from our fantastic travel team’s wealth of experience and the personal service given to all our clients.”
