Blenheim Palace has unveiled a diverse array of new experiences for 2024, aimed at enhancing group visits with immersive tours, in-house catering, locally-sourced retail products, trade pricing, and family packages.
TOURS & CHURCHILL 150
Groups can explore Blenheim Palace through various tours, including Palace State Room Tours, Garden Tours, and the Private Apartments. Private tours before and after Blenheim Palace’s opening hours offer exclusive access. Visitors can also participate in the 150th-anniversary celebrations of Sir Winston Churchill with the permanent Churchill Exhibition, and the option for a VIP tour.
New special tours and experiences invite groups to venture beyond the public areas and delve into the history that has shaped Blenheim Palace over its 300-year history. Led by expert guides, these tours provide access to private rooms and passages not usually open to the public, showcasing the Duke’s private apartments, art, and heirlooms.
Blenheim Palace, as a working estate, also offers insights into the operations of a landed estate. Guided tours across the 2,000-acre estate highlight its rich flora and fauna, and cover Blenheim Estate’s conservation, preservation, restoration, and sustainability projects.
For film enthusiasts, the Palace’s Lights, Camera, Action tour allows groups to visit filming locations for blockbusters like Harry Potter, James Bond, Napoleon, and TV series such as Bridgerton. Visitors can use a dedicated map to explore these iconic sites.
A downloadable onsite guide provides access to Palace and Garden Tours in nine languages, including English, English BSL, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin, Japanese, and Russian, enhancing the visitor experience.
FOOD & DRINK
Blenheim Palace’s in-house catering offers a variety of options for group visitors, including light refreshments, hot lunches, cold buffets, or afternoon tea served in private rooms. For groups with limited time, Blenheim offers packed lunches with homemade sandwiches and savoury delights to enjoy in the park and gardens.
RETAIL
Blenheim Palace partners with renowned British companies and local artisans to offer exclusive, high-quality products. Visitors can purchase Blenheim Gin, honey, water, and other items, supporting the local economy. The Palace aims to triple its contribution to the local economy over the next decade by working closely with local producers.
ADVENTURE PLAY
The outdoor play area features immersive zones with secret chambers, clamber nets, tunnels, slides, rope bridges, and giant carrots. Covering a site larger than a football pitch, it draws inspiration from the Palace’s real-life features, such as the lakeside Boat House and Hensington Gateway, making it a must-visit for families.
