Chinese visitors to Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire can now save money by using Digipanda’s Panda Card.
The Panda Card is a virtual discount card and works like an online directory of UK tourism product for visitors coming to the UK.
It also offers Chinese tourists a smarter way to save money on attractions, retailers, restaurants, accommodation, transportation and other services during their holiday in the UK.
The Panda Card also helps UK tourism businesses to market to prospective Chinese visitors, as it is promoted on mainstream Chinese social media platforms including Weibo, WeChat and Toutiao, and sold on leading OTAs such as Ctrip, LVmama, and LY.com.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site is continually looking at innovative ways to improve and adapt the visitor experience to truly make visitors from around the world feel welcome.
As part of its commitment to Chinese visitors, Blenheim Palace has also recently partnered with Alipay and WeChat Pay, and became the first UK stately home to sign up for the GREAT China Charter. Blenheim Palace have also created a dedicated website for its Chinese visitors in Mandarin and also provide Chinese speakings guides, a Chinese language audio guide, as well as maps and restaurant menus translated into Chinese.
In 2017 China moved into the UK’s top 10 most valuable inbound visitor markets, with visits reaching a record-breaking 337,000, spending a record £694 million. Visitors from China also spent more than three times the market average per visit, stay almost twice as long as holidaymakers across all other markets, and travel more widely across the UK than other visitors.
