Brighton & Hove Museums has announced that Father Christmas will return to the Royal Pavilion to greet children in the historic palace. As part of the festive offerings, visitors to the Royal Pavilion Ice Rink can also take advantage of a new regency rate, which offers reduced entry to the Pavilion for skaters.

While at the Royal Pavilion, guests can explore Regency-era Christmas trees and learn about King George IV’s holiday traditions. Upstairs, the A Very Victorian Christmas exhibit showcases Queen Victoria’s holiday celebrations at the Pavilion, including Queen Victoria’s and Prince Albert’s iconic Christmas tree, which popularised the tradition in 1848.

In addition to family activities, Brighton & Hove Museums has planned events for adults, including Christmas banquets and a carol concert in the Pavilion’s Music Room. Tickets for these events are in demand, so early booking is advised.
