The City of London Corporation has announced the return of the City Beerfest, an annual event which will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. It will be held at the historic Guildhall Yard on Thursday 11 July from 12:30pm to 9:00pm.
This year’s festival will feature top brewers, diverse food stalls, and live music. Organised by the City of London Corporation in partnership with The Worshipful Company of Brewers, the event will showcase a selection of the finest brewers from the UK and Ireland, including St Austell Brewery, Guinness, Harvey’s Brewery, McMullen and Son’s River Town Brewing, Meantime Brewing Company, Renegade Brewery, Shepherd Neame, Timothy Taylor’s, Camden Town Brewery, Fourpure, Signature Brew, and Five Points Brewing Company. Attendees can enjoy over 35 different beers, including non-alcoholic, low alcohol, and gluten-free options.
City Beerfest has become a tradition in the Square Mile, attracting beer enthusiasts, workers, residents, and visitors for a good cause. All profits from the event are donated to The Lord Mayor’s Appeal, supporting three partner charities. Over the years, the festival has raised more than £150,000 for charity. To mark the 10-year anniversary, the City Corporation invites visitors to book their tickets and help raise funds for MQ Mental Health Research, Homewards, and National Numeracy.
City Beerfest is part of Destination City, the City of London Corporation’s growth strategy for the Square Mile. The 2024 event is sponsored by Hempsons.
Chris Hayward, Policy Chairman of the City of London Corporation said, “City Beerfest has become a summer highlight in the City’s calendar. And as we mark its 10th anniversary, it’s a wonderful chance for the Square Mile’s workers, residents, and visitors to come together and raise a glass for a great cause, the Lord Mayor’s Appeal.
“We’re delighted to work with The Worshipful Company of Brewers once again to celebrate the brewing craft and showcase some of the finest beers from the UK and Ireland – all in an iconic setting at Guildhall Yard.”
The full event programme will be announced in the coming weeks.
