Continuum Attractions appoints Sue Garland OBE as new Chair

Continuum Attractions has announced the appointment of its new Chair, Sue Garland OBE, an experienced non-executive director and and chair who will take on the role with immediate effect.

Sue, who has an honours degree in Russian, started her working life at GCHQ, then moved from inspecting hotels for the English Tourist Board to policy, strategy and marketing for the British Tourism Authority (now VisitBritain), where as Deputy and Acting CEO she was responsible for a budget of over £50 milllion, and led the promotion of Britain overseas. This included responsibility for the branding of Britain and its constituent countries and regions, to key overseas markets.

Since leaving the tourism agency, Sue Garland has worked independently, undertaking consultancy assignments focusing on change management as well as tourism projects.

Ms. Garland has been a non-executive director of the Continuum Group since 2003 and has been appointment Chair with effect from April 2018 after the retirement of long-serving Chair John East CBE.
