E-Voyages, a leading UK DMC and bespoke travel operator has been named as one of the Creative Industries Council’s (CIC) ‘One to Watch’ – a select list of UK companies that have excelled at utilising technology to highlight the creativity and passion behind their businesses, whilst encouraging collaboration across sectors and industries.
The ‘Ones to Watch’ list of 100 companies is published annually by the CIC to highlight breakthrough creative technologies businesses from across the country. The list was selected by a panel of industry leaders, funding bodies and experts across the creative disciplines.
E-Voyages was chosen for their City Emulator project, which was brought about by the challenges of Covid-19 on the tourism sector. City Emulator brings together a database of existing VR content from the sports, cultural and commercial sectors to recreate virtual cities and promotes a new way for visitors to experience destinations digitally whilst reducing the environmental impacts of mass tourism.
“We are truly delighted to be amongst the winners of the CreaTech ‘Ones to Watch’ for 2021. This pivotal project forms part of our survival and recovery after 20 months of not trading, therefore to be finally getting the recognition for this project that I truly believe in is amazing news,” said E-Voyages CEO Emmanuelle Spriet.
“This project is close to my heart because it is all about collaboration, helping each other during difficult times, and building resilience amongst the tourism community. This nomination isn’t just about ourselves, but also those who are part of our supply chain, and to be recognised by a panel of experts will give us the visibility that we need. The team and I are all very proud of our achievement and look forward to sharing our successes with our clients and partners.”
