Evan Evans Tours has added a fourth fully-electric, Harry Potter-themed double-decker bus to its fleet, aimed at enhancing its range of sustainable and immersive sightseeing experiences in London. This new vehicle will transport guests to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter. It is designed for comfort, equipped with air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, USB chargers, and spacious seating.
The company’s five-year sustainability policy, How We Tread Right, contributes to its parent company, The Travel Corporation (TTC)’s goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2025. To achieve their verified science-based near-term, long-term, and net-zero targets, Evan Evans is reducing emissions and prioritising decarbonisation through the use of zero-emission vehicles. The company now operates four electric vehicles daily, year-round. According to TTC’s 2023 Impact Report, this shift to electric vehicles has avoided 88 tonnes of carbon emissions compared to using diesel alternatives.
Tom Macklin, Managing Director of Evan Evans Tours said, “We were recently awarded UKinbound’s 2024 ‘Sightseeing Operator of the Year’ and we are excited for our multi-generational guests from around the world to experience our immersive guided tours around London while helping to reduce our carbon footprint with our fleet of fully electric vehicles. Harry Potter fans will be delighted to hop on board our Harry Potter-themed fully-electric double-decker motor coach and embark on a magical journey to Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter as the perfect way to discover the wonders of the world-famous wizard.”
