Shaon Talukder, CEO of Geotourist has been named in Entrepreneur Magazine’s 2023 Top 10 Travel Industry Leaders.
Shaon, who co-founded Geotourist as a way to help people and organisations create and share real stories with others by pinning them to a talking map of the world, has advanced their technology to unlock arguably the most valuable measurement insight in travel and tourism – “Why people travel?”
The CEO of Geotourist has been named in the magazine alongside pioneers that are shaping the way travel will be experienced in the future, including fellow distributor, Brian Chesky who as a founder of Airbnb has turned the hospitality industry on its head.
Common among this group of innovators is their approach to addressing global bottlenecks in a traditional industry, bringing a fresh perspective and providing smarter ways that help the travel industry to accelerate growth and thrive, rather than just survive another season.

The travel and tourism sector hasn’t always taken the simplest route forward, and often practices, including operational and ‘data’ ones are decades out of date.
