Luxury manufacturer and retailer, Johnstons of Elgin has launched a new range of immersive experiences, offering a behind-the-scenes look at their craftsmanship process. The brand have been experts in the world’s finest fibers for over 225 years, crafting cashmere and merino wool products since 1797.
Johnstons of Elgin invites guests to witness unique craftsmanship passed down through generations, taking the highest quality natural, renewable and biodegradable fibers from their raw state to finished products. Theirs is the only vertical weaving mill in Scotland, where visitors can experience some of the thirty processes involved in crafting a single scarf and learn more about the families that have shaped the business over the decades.
From exploring behind the scenes of Johnstons of Elgin’s working mill to an in-depth heritage experience and personal shopping, there is something for everyone. Guests can finish the day with an afternoon tea in the award-winning onsite eatery, Weavers Restaurant.
