The London Eye, part of Merlin Entertainments, has marked 25 years since its launch. Initially constructed for the Millennium and a central feature of London’s annual New Year’s Eve celebrations, the London Eye has become a part of the city’s skyline.
Since its first rotation in 2000, the London Eye has provided a different perspective of the capital, hosting visitors worldwide. With 32 capsules offering panoramic views, it has been a setting for various experiences, including proposals, visits from dignitaries, and cultural moments. More than 85 million people have journeyed on the structure, which remains a key feature on the River Thames.
