London Transport Museum has launched a series of summer activities, available until 3 September. Visitors will be able to explore an interactive ‘Green Journey’ installation, a tactile display that will get families thinking about the causes of climate change and its impact on London. Visitors can discover the innovative solutions being implemented to create a greener future for the city – such as TfL’s low and zero emission buses. They can learn about green jobs and the people behind them, and be inspired to make small, eco-friendly changes at home that can make a difference.
This summer will also feature a series of ‘Build Better’ family activities exploring different aspects of transport design and sustainability through sensory storytelling, creative workshops, drop-in Girls4Tech STEM workshops hosted by Mastercard, and a ’Green Journey’ inspired stamper trail through the museum galleries. These summer holiday activities are part of London Transport Museum’s Climate Crossroads programme, sponsored by Mastercard, ABM and Sopra Steria. The programme creates experiences that get people thinking about what the future of our city could look like and – inspired by the great engineering ingenuity of London’s past – explores what innovations, skills and jobs we need to build this sustainable future.
