Merlin Entertainments has introduced a new afternoon tea experience at the London Eye, allowing visitors to enjoy this British tradition while taking in some of the capital’s most famous landmarks.
Set in the Eye Lounge Bar, the experience combines the elegance of traditional afternoon tea with the backdrop of the River Thames and the London skyline. Guests can enjoy delicacies such as smoked salmon and crème fraîche sandwiches, miniature Victoria sponge cakes, and freshly prepared scones with clotted cream and jam while overlooking London’s landmarks.
The gradual rotation of the London Eye offers guests a continuously shifting view of London’s skyline, including landmarks such as Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. This setting allows visitors to enjoy both the changing urban landscape and the traditional afternoon tea. Additionally, guests are provided with a complimentary box of macarons as part of the experience. Vegan and gluten-free options are also available to accommodate various dietary requirements.
