See Tickets has been selected to provide the ticket booking system used by hundreds of thousands of visitors each year to book tours of the Houses of Parliament.
Customers can book from a selection of guided, self-guided, family and specialist tours, with add-ons including the popular afternoon tea option. These tours run on Saturdays throughout the year and most weekdays during parliamentary recesses including Easter and the summer.
See functionality now powers ticket transactions at parliament.uk/visit. Tour tickets are also on sale at seetickets.com where See retails over 11 million tickets each year for music, theatre, exhibition, attraction, festival, sport and comedy events.
As part of the partnership See Tickets is also providing UK Parliament with access to their specialist groups bookings team, plus sales analysis, access control, customer care and marketing services.
Martin Fitzgerald, Chief Commercial Officer at See Tickets said, “This is a prestigious win for See Tickets not least because the appointment process required us to demonstrate the very highest standards of service, functionality and security across multiple areas of our business. We are also extremely proud to be working with one of the UK’s most iconic attractions.”
Amy Pitts, Director of Visitor and Retail Services at UK Parliament said, “We have been very impressed with See Tickets’ flexible, full-service approach to business. In addition to a robust ticketing system we also now have account management, detailed reporting and a custom web development on hand – this was all central to our decision to work with See as well as their significant experience working with high profile clients.”
See Tickets work with clients including Glastonbury Festival, Kew Gardens, the Mayor of London’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks, the British Library, the BBC, Universal Music Group and the Royal Horticultural Society.
