The Beatles Story Museum has received the International Tourism Award at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards, recognising its contribution to global tourism. The award, sponsored by Liverpool John Lennon Airport, was presented during a ceremony at Liverpool Cathedral on 27 February.
Now in its 35th year, The Beatles Story Museum continues to attract visitors from around the world. To enhance the visitor experience, the museum offers audio media guides in 12 languages. The museum’s international reach is further supported by collaborations with organisations such as Cavern City Tours and Liverpool Football Club and a network of Brand Ambassadors representing 21 countries.
The award acknowledges the museum’s efforts in providing a high-quality experience for Beatles fans and tourists and its role in promoting Liverpool as a cultural destination. Other shortlisted finalists for the award included Hotel Anfield and Liverpool Cathedral.
Mary Chadwick, General Manager of The Beatles Story said, “This award is just the beginning of a very exciting year for The Beatles Story, Albert Dock. We have lots of exciting developments in the works for our visitors, and our 35th year promises to be one of our most exciting yet. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing team for working hard to ensure our attraction continues to be an award-winning international destination 35 years on.”
Following its success at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards, The Beatles Story’s winning bid for the International Tourism Award is under consideration for an award in VisitEngland’s Awards for Excellence.
