Tootbus London have announced the launch of a new exciting experience “The Sounds Bus” live above London – a unique and immersive live music night. With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, 2020 was a challenging year for the entertainment industry. Measures such as government recommendations to work from home, restrictions on travel and public gatherings and venues unable to open their doors, have all had a significant impact on performers and artists alike.
In December 2020, Tootbus London (formerly The Original Tour) launched a pilot scheme to trial live music on board an open-top bus. This pilot scheme saw two events held, both of which were sold out, where the public could take a journey through the capital on London’s only “instagrammable” rooftop bar bus, sipping on a drink of their choice, whilst listening to live music from artists presented by TALENTBANQ.
Following the success of these trials, and an extensive rebrand of the sightseeing business over the past few months, Tootbus London has made The Sounds Bus a part of its new summer product portfolio. Investment has been made into converting a second open-top tour bus into a Bar Bus to accommodate regular live music events. Tables and booths have been created on the upper deck with both forward and rear facing seating, enhancing the sociability element of this experience, and a toilet fitted on the lower deck. Summer floral arrangements have been installed creating a “secret garden” ambience- a picture perfect backdrop for stunning panoramic views across the city. This brand new bar bus also has a larger capacity than its predecessor which means more people can enjoy The Sounds Bus at every event.
The Sounds Bus is an open-air event, and is fully compliant with the current UK COVID-19 guidelines and regulations.

The Sounds Bus will kick off its summer programme, with Dylan Holloway performing, on Saturday 26 June 2021, timed perfectly with the Music Escapes Festival (Friday 25 – Sunday 27 June 2021 inclusive).
Departing at 7pm from Charles II Street, subsequent events will follow every Saturday for 12 weeks initially with a different artist each week.
