Visit Herts has announced its first hosted travel trade event in the county will take place at Knebworth House on Thursday 12 October 2023. Local tourism and hospitality businesses will meet with tour operators who are responsible for bringing in thousands of international visitors to the UK every year from the USA, China and the rest of Europe. The main aim of the event is for local businesses to share information and details with the tour operators about new experiences and activities that they could include in itineraries for their international clients.
Deidre Wells OBE, CEO of Visit Herts commenteed, “Even though Hertfordshire is firmly on the map for many tour operators who already bring their clients to visit iconic and well-known attractions such as The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, Hatfield House or St Albans Cathedral – there are many smaller, lesser known attractions and accommodation providers who are also providing some fantastic experiences and hospitality for visitors.
“These include businesses like Henry Moore Studios and Gardens and Puddingstone Distillery and we look forward to introducing them to members of the travel trade at our event in October which will help them to attract new visitors from overseas and ultimately secure new revenue from this market in the near future.”
The event will cost £70 + VAT for members of Visit Herts and £100 + VAT for non members. Knebworth House will also provide a tour either before or after the event depending on interest.
