Laura Wilson has joined the VisitAberdeenshire leadership team as Head of Convention Bureau from Edinburgh-based Speakeasy Productions. Aberdeen Convention Bureau, an arm of VisitAberdeenshire, works in collaboration with venue partners, universities, and academics to bid for business events, and provides in-destination support to conference organisers and delegates.
In the past twelve months, Aberdeen Convention Bureau has worked with partners to submit 38 bids, and if successful, will bring £19 million to the regional economy and over 79,000 bed nights.
Laura Wilson, Head of Convention Bureau said, “I’m pleased to be joining the VisitAberdeenshire team and look forward to promoting the region as a prime conference destination.”
