With a strong knowledge of the travel industry, you’ll be responsible primarily for new business development and will be an integral part of a wider commercial team. Within the role, we need you to be proactive in dealing with prospects, converting them to business opportunities, and ultimately into new clients.
Key responsibilities:
- Being the point of contact for DFDS towards a defined portfolio of clients or source markets.
- Ownership of the commercial relationship with that portfolio of customers.
- Client analysis, negotiation, and implementation of agreements.
- Year-round monitoring of performance – working towards KPI’s.
- Representation of DFDS at customer meetings and relevant trade and network events.
- Building excellent relationships with key customers.
Key skills & experience:
The ideal candidate will be highly commercially driven, demonstrate agility, and be able to work analytically on commercial problem solving. You’ll need to have strong relationship building and project management skills whilst also being able to collaborate, influence and negotiate both internally and externally. Ideally you will have the following attributes:
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to plan and manage sales activity.
- Ability to travel regularly.
- Experience within a multi-channel role would be desirable.
