We were delighted to announce the winners of the UKinbound Awards for Excellence 2019 at the Annual Convention Gala Dinner in Bristol on 7 February.
Taking place at Aerospace Bristol, the awards were presented by Bristolian comedian and actor James Redmond in front of 300 guests from the UK travel trade. A panel of independent judges –Susan Deer, ABTA; Patrick Richards, ETOA; and Dr. Karen Thomas, Canterbury Christ Church University – compiled the shortlist following a round of self-nominations from member companies, and the final winners were voted for by the membership.

Accommodation Provider of the Year: Lake District Country Hotel

Transport Provider of the Year: Great Western Railway
Service Provider of the Year – Restaurants, Retail & Ticketing: Encore
Service Provider of the Year – Professional Services: TravelBeat
Regional Member of the Year: Brilliant Tours
Chairman’s Award: Ashley Jones, Director of Sales UK & Ireland, Vox Group

We were also delighted to announce the winner of the inaugural UKinbound Young Excellence Award – Joseph Unwin from Visit York, aged 22. Joseph is the third winner to receive this award after showing great love for tourism and the City of York, positive attitudes and a great commitment to his role.
